This name plate is made from clear {low-iron} glass. This reduces the typical green tint of glass. This is a wonderful gift for people who have a desk job and can proudly display it. Tall logo nameplate
The tall name plates are 4" x 10" wide x 3/8". The extra height allows for the company logo and title to be etched above the name. This name plate is made from low iron glass with signature chipped edge. It features a solid oak wood base with roman ogee edges. A very elegant gift that combines wood and glass in perfect harmony. Simple artwork can be used for the logo {ie. business card}. You can see from the photograph that very fine detail is possible. You may also order this name plate with chipped edge glass base. Jade glass name plates
This is for those of you that love the look and color of regular glass. The chipped edge makes the light dance and the jade color shine. It can be chipped with a small standard chip or my signature chip as shown. The size is 2 1/2" x 9" wide x 3/8". It features a solid wood base with 1/4 round edge. $95.00 for glass, wood base and etched name.
Clipped Corner Name Plate
This name plate is clear {low-iron} 1/2 inch thick glass with polished edges and corner clip. It comes in two sizes. This name plate has more of a modern, contemporary look and feel. This would top off the desk of any young, rising executive. The glass base adds to the contemporary look and feel. Makes a great corporate gift. Square Corner Name Plate
This nameplate is for when you want a thick name plate that will stand on its own. The size is 2" x 10" wide x 3/4" for $125.00. This is for the name plate with etched name, no base. It has a flat polished edge.

This nameplate is available in two sizes. The small size is 2 3/4" x 8" wide x 3/4" for $165.00 including etched name. The large size is 2 3/4" x 12" wide x 3/4" for $175.00 including etched name. These are massive pieces of glass for a free standing name plate. Bases are included. It features a flat polished edge with a bevel. This is for when you want to make a bold statement.

Lettering and font styles
I have several font styles to choose from, as shown. This is to keep it simple and to not boggle your brain with to many choices. These are the top 12 fonts that I use. For those of you that want to be creative or unique... here is access to numerous fonts at MyFonts. Please note, If you pick a font from MyFonts, email me the name when I send you email about your artwork. Do Not buy it, I will do that and I may already have it. If you have a certain font in mind, you are sure to find it here. You can look at the thousands of styles if you want. Or you can visit my album at MyFonts to look at more lettering styles that I think would etch very well. The fonts in my album would not cost extra because they are on my wish list or I already have them. Fonts chosen from main web site could cost extra. This is usually around $19.00 but as high as $100.00. If it is a font that I don't think I will use again, I will have to charge you. There are free fonts on the internet but I MUST have a commercial licence to use them.
How are they made?
I take stock sheets of glass and cut them to size. I then take a chipping tool and chip the edges in my signature chip. This consist of chipping the glass with small chips and then going back with larger chips. This shapes the glass and makes long, clean lines. I then sand the edge to remove the sharp edge. This seamed area is very small and not very noticeable. The wood blanks are cut to fit the glass. Each chipped edge is a little different, so a custom cut looks the best. I then router the chosen edge and finish them. This is all done in house. Each order is custom made.
How long does it take?
I usually ship in 3 to 6 days if the glass is in stock. There are too many styles and shapes to keep them all in stock. When you order I will send an email letting you know what the shipping schedule will be. I will stock the most popular. If I have to order in the glass I can still usually ship in two weeks.
Ordering information
When I receive your order I will send an email to you to find out the style of base, Lettering style or font, logo information if applicable and the persons name and/or what you want to say. When I receive that information I will email back the artwork with the time frame for shipment. If you would like to choose from the chipped edge pieces that I have in stock, I can send you a picture. They are all similar but can be very different.
All my work is made for you at the time of order. You may send me an email or use the Contact form if you would like a custom name plate made. My email address is dean [at] glassdesignllc.com. All of the choices shown can be mixed and matched to create a one of a kind order. This includes the size, shape, thickness, variety of glass, Font style, base, depth of etching, border and or design extras. The sizes of glass can also be made to order. A name plate could be made with the lettering going up an down instead of left to right if you needed it to.If you want certain sizes of glass with polished edges or chipped edges I could do that to. I would be more than happy to give you a price and time quote.

I ship to the lower 48 contiguous states. Shipping is Included. I will ship with FedEx Home Delivery in most cases.
